Functions of Carbohydrate in cell membrane

  1. Carbohydrate molecules are negatively charged and do not permit the negatively charged substances to move in and out of the cell.
  2. Glycocalyx from the neighboring cells helps in the tight fixation of cell with one another.
  3. Some carbohydrate molecules function as the receptors for some hormones.

Femur The femur is a latin word it means thigh. Femur is the longest and strongest bone of the body. Femur has 27% length of total body length. Weight of femur is about 380gm in males and 279gm in females. Quantity of femur are two in number. Side Determination 1. Head directed medially. 2. Medial and lateral condyle (lower end) inferiorly. 3. Cylindrical shaft is convex forward. Joint Formation  1. Hip joint - between head of femur and acetabulum of Hip bone . 2. Cerebrospinal fluid or CSF CSF is the modified colour less tissue fluid. CSF present in ventricular system of brain and sub arachnoid space around spinal cord and brain. Formation Maximum part of CSF is formed by choroid plexus of lateral ventricle, and lesser part of CSF  is formed by third and fourth ventricles.
