Functions of gall bladder

a. The bile secreted from liver and stored in gall bladder. 
b. Gall bladder is not essential for life. 
c. The removal of gall bladder called cholecystectomy. 
d. After cholecystectomy ,patients does not suffer from any major disadvantage. 
e. In some species gall bladder is absent.

Functions: -

1. Storage of bile.

2. Alteration of pH of bile.

3. Secretion of mucin.

4. Maintenance of pressure in biliary system.
