What is the definition and types of infection ?

Infection

Infection is the invasion/entry of a microorganisms/ infectious agent in the body of man or animals and it's development and multiplication, called as infection.

Types of infection

1. Clinical Infection/ apparent infection/ manifest infection : 

• Microorganisms present in the body.
• Microorganisms also create any problem in the body.
• This type infection also diagnosed at the level of laboratory.

2. Subclinical Infection/ inapparent infection :

• Microorganisms present in the body.
• But Microorganisms not create any problem in the body.
• This type infection also diagnosed at level of laboratory. (eg. Polio )

3. Latent infection : unable Antibody in body or Antibody formation not  starts till now. (eg. Virus of herpes simplex )

• Microorganisms present in the body.
• Infectious agent not create any problem.
• And also don't diagnosed at the level of laboratory ( it recognize by the formation start antibody in the body against specific infectious agent).
